Signature Search’s three regional offices contribute to our national reach and size of our network. Two are located in Wisconsin: in Appleton and Green Bay, with the third office in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Mike launched Signature Search in early 2000 because he knew he had the right formula to develop an executive search firm that went beyond the industry  standard, far exceeding expectation with a refreshing, professional, and dedicated experience.

He is known to have a distinctive enthusiasm and determination within his industry that transfers into Signature Search’s company philosophy of valuing integrity, expertise, intuition, and professionalism.  Mike works collaboratively with clients so all parties involved experience ownership in the process and can feel confident in signing their names at the closing of the search; this end result is what inspired the company name.

His 30-year search and recruiting experience covers executive leadership and mid management positions within broad industry segments including manufacturing, consumer products, service, and non-profit and faith-based associations/businesses nationally and internationally.

Chip and Mike Mueller began working together in 1995 and spent the next five years refining the process that is the foundation of the retained search firm, Signature Search. Bringing the client—candidate connection to the forefront.

Chip has 20 years of experience in executive search and another 10 years of experience in HR leadership. He has great depth and knowledge in talent management, leadership, and organizational development and effectiveness.

He combines this experience with a strong client focus and commitment to thoroughly understand the organization and its unique interpersonal dynamics and nuances that define the culture. He uses this knowledge to attract great leaders that are the right “fit.” His skill and ability to partner effectively with clients and candidates has allowed him to consistently deliver results and exceed expectations.

Nancy Thompson

Nancy joined Signature Search in September 2010 with a passion for attracting top talent for her clients.  With a decade of experience in executive search, Nancy has focused on executive level and management positions within a variety of industries for clients nationwide in both for profit and non-profit organizations.

Prior to executive search, she worked in general management and national account sales for a global leader in the transportation and logistics industry where her clients included Fortune Top Ten companies. She has also worked with small and medium size privately held businesses.

She is focused on finding the right connection for both the client and candidate throughout the search process. Meetings with the leadership team to truly understand their culture and talent needs are essential at the beginning of a search.
